Who we are

Newday is a productivity journalling tool operated by Aaron Stathi, based in Australia. You can contact us at aaron.stathi@gmail.com with any privacy-related questions.

What we collect

We collect your email address and password when you sign up. We store the journal entries and tasks you create in the app. If you connect HubSpot or Notion, we store your API tokens encrypted at rest. We do not collect payment card details — these are handled directly by Stripe.

How we use your data

Your journal entries are used to power the AI matching feature, which identifies tasks you have completed and suggests new ones. Entries are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored in a cloud database hosted by Turso. API keys and integration tokens are encrypted using AES-256 before storage. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.

Third party services

We use the following third party services: Anthropic (AI processing of journal entries), Stripe (payment processing), Resend (transactional email), Turso (database hosting), and Vercel (application hosting). Each of these services has their own privacy policy.

Your rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings page. You can also contact us at aaron.stathi@gmail.com to request a copy of your data or ask any questions about how it is used.

Cookies

We use a single authentication cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email. Continued use of Newday after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
